Implementation by That Works Media

To manage all three symposium years efficiently and consistently, a well structured workflow was established. This ensured coherent results across all files and made communication with the museum team clear and transparent.

Production Workflow

  1. Preparation
All timecodes were checked against the raw recordings. Despite variations in audio quality and file formats, all material was successfully imported into the production environment.
  2. Video Editing
Each presentation was extracted as a standalone video. Special care was taken to maintain proper synchronisation between picture and audio and to ensure precise start and end points.
  3. Title Cards
The design of the opening cards followed the visual identity of the museum, ensuring a consistent appearance across the entire series.
  4. Audio Processing
The soundtracks were normalised, cleaned and lightly filtered. The damaged beginning of the English recording from 2023 was stabilised so that the entire talk could be used without disruption.
  5. Quality Assurance and Delivery
Each final video was viewed and checked. The files were then uploaded to SecureHub with a clear naming structure that allows reliable long term archiving.

Outcome

All three symposium years were delivered on schedule and in consistent high quality. The result was a complete set of individual videos in German and English with uniform formatting and clean audio. With clear organisation and standardised exports, the museum can archive the material reliably and prepare it for future publication and research use.

Benefits for the Museum

  • Clear organisation of a large volume of recorded material
  • High audio and video quality
  • Consistent visual formatting
  • Secure data handling
  • Cost efficiency through a fixed price model

Conclusion

This project demonstrates how large scale academic events can be documented in a professional and accessible manner. Through structured editing, secure workflows and reliable bilingual processing, the Deutsches Historisches Museum received a complete and durable documentation of its symposium series.
